Can you skip your flight and catch your layover flight?

i am flying from The Philadelphia to helsinki. After visiting Helsinki i am flying to the czech republic with a return flight back to helsinki... my flight home is from helsinki with a layover in paris. i thought it would be interesting to explore central /western europe by train and skip my return flight to helsinki and show up at my layover flight in paris if that is possible?
