Yes, he seems VERY controlling. And who has in public places? That seems pretty crazy to me, no offense. You need to lose this guy, if possible. Controlling men usually lead to abusive men and in most cases, that abuse is physical. You might think it won't happen because you have been together for a couple of years now, but some people don't find out their man is abusive until they're married or have been together for many years. You have every right to tell a close friend "happy birthday", no matter who he is or if you had a dream about him. Did you know that when you dream of somebody, the dream might not even really be about them? Therefore, this friend could be a symbol for the type of guy you wish your boyfriend was. In that case, maybe there are some things your boyfriend needs to improve and possibly, your boyfriend is jealous of this friend of yours. In addition, I'm sorry to hear you have an eating disorder. What bothered me was that your boyfriend said that, that is an issue of the both of you, but it's actually more your issue & business than his because you are two different people, not the same person. Anyways, I really think you should try to dump this guy. It might be hard, but you need to get out of that relationship and fast. You're young, you'll be able to bounce back in no time.
