My back hurts 3 years after spinal fusion. Help!?

Okay, so I had a spinal fusion, and I got screw mostly along my upper back. This was when I was in 6th grade. I recovered fine, and I'm physically fit. However, my upper right side of my back hurts a lot, especially on area where I got metal inserted (I'm bony, so I can feel the hardware). It started hurting a few days into taking midterms. I don't know what the cause is, or whats wrong. PLEASE help. It hurts to paint and reach stuff.
