WHAT does a sweeping of the membranes feel like?

i am 38+2 day and i have an appt with the ob.... i hate this stupid army medical center cause this whole pregnancy i havent seen the same doc more than once! geez so everytime i go in i have to explain about myself and the other pregnancies as well.....anyways i was told by the last doc that i could get induced at 39 wks cause my first baby was 9lbs 10oz and i got the 4th degree tear..OUCH so i was going to ask about the membrane stripping, if it doesnt hurt that bad...also how long after this does it take to go into full blown labor?? im really starting to freak out now cause she isnt moving as much as usual and my sister in law had a still born 2 yrs ago...thats the only thing thats on my mind right now id rather her be out and healthy than to stay in and i dont know whats going on....thanks ladies sorry for it being so long
