What is the Difference Between NCAA and NAIA?

Whats the difference and how does NAIA compare to NCAA schools. Also do NAIA schools give scholarships for athletics? and i was also wondering, does NCAA DI have like smaller divisions inside it, such as A teams and AA teams, what does that mean??
